Thinking the feelings

I assume all (or at least most) of you use some sort of instant messenger program. When you're reading what someone has sent you, do you ever think about the feeling behind the words? I do it all the time. The thing is, how can you type it and punctuate it so that they don't have to think it? so they just know it? You can use cool stuff like bold, italics, or different fonts with different colors. Or, you can use ALL CAPS and lots of exclamation points!!!!! The elipses and hyphens are pretty popular, too, for pauses or new sentences: "yeah, ok...speaking of which - can i get one too?" It's almost like an after-thought.

Well I thought it was neat.
