Well I had a busy weekend. How about you? I had the volleyball pit recuperation Saturday morning, Relay for Life Saturday afternoon/evening, saw my uncle (dad's brother) Saturday night and Sunday (who I haven't seen in probably upwards of 6 or 8 years), then wrote a paper Sunday night. [Check out Flickr for pics from Saturday.]
I'm tired and sore. If you know someone who will give me a cheap or free massage, I would be eternally grateful.
I just got our indoor soccer playoff schedule, as well. We ended up 1st place in our league, so that's cool. I think we might go all the way. Maybe. We'll see. Soccer rocks.
I haven't played much guitar recently. I miss it. Andy and I want to start recording some stuff soon, maybe up at church. It wouldn't be much, but it's nice to have different parts to play along with. That's what I want. When I practice here in the dorm, I want to be able to practice different parts of the same song. I can't play the bass all by myself - it sounds too empty. I don't like always playing guitar by myself because I like hearing the other parts behind it. If we record some stuff, I could practice them all and improve my soloing skills. AND...if we record, I would probably be able to mix it, improving my studio mixing skills (which right now equal 1 studio mixing session of 4 songs). Sweet.
We're now interview candidates to fill the 1 male PA and 1 male RA spots here at Clark. I sat in on my first today, and I'm doing two tomorrow morning. We interviewed a girl who seemed like she would be good for the job, but I think we're taking a female RA from another dorm, which leaves us with the two guy spots only. Oh well. It was interesting, especially since I had a similar interview only about 4 months ago.
I decided to pull out the old "Do it yourself pilot training" DVDs my dad got me for Christmas like 2 years ago or something. To become a pilot, you must have head knowledge (ground school) and practical knowledge (actually flying). This is ground school on DVD, so I just watch it, take the proper tests, and get stuff signed by a certified instructor. As fate would have it, my dad is a certified instructor. So if I ever need help, he's there to help. I think I'll really do it this time. Last time I started, but never finished (as you may have guessed). Yeah, I'll do it this time. Shouldn't be too hard I hope.
