Uganda Children's Project

My brother and I sponsor a kid in Uganda, as do my parents. What does that mean? It means that we pay $150 per year to support the kid with school tuition (as it costs money to go to school in Uganda), clothes, food, and very little else. The Uganda Children's Project (UCP) began with Brainerd Presbyterian Church, and was brought to my church - CrossPointe Community Church - when we hired a pastor from Brainerd. Where in the world is Uganda, anyway? The map at left shows Uganda in green on a map of Africa.

Why do I bring this up? Because UCP is in need. Jim Steele, the point man for UCP at Brainerd, was supposed to spend about six months in Uganda from January until June, but has been prematurely kicked out of the country due to disgruntled employees complaining to the Ugandan government. The costs of attending schools in Uganda may soon be going up, and they're running out of money. So basically, they need your prayers. Jim needs to get back into the country, and they need money to pay for the things they do.
