Canyon Lake

I went to see my dad down in San Antonio this weekend. It was fun. I have pics, but Flickr says I can't upload any more pics until next month, so, they're stupid. So...Flickr pics on July! I put pics on Facebook if you can get there. Below is as it was:

I got down there around 1:00 and my dad met me at the front gate of the base to get me in. I saw some A-10s flying around while I was waiting. That was cool cause there aren't any stationed at the base normally. The only military ID card I had was the one that expired in March 2003, so we got me a new one and then got a tag for my car so I could drive it in.

Before going up to Canyon Lake, we stopped by his office so he could check email and make a call or two. We got up to the lake around dinner time and it was nice. We rented a boat and fished all morning on Saturday. We each got a catfish, then I got a little blue gill. We cleaned up after lunch and roamed the countryside to see what there was to be seen. That is some nice country down around San Antonio and Austin, let me tell ya. We went to New Braunfels and San Marcos and drove around. There are some nice neighborhoods down there. But mostly, it was good quality guy bonding time. More fishing after dinner, but no luck then.

We went back to base to get my car this morning, then I came home. Overall, it was loads of good times.
