Let me tell you, these guys were fantastic. I'd never heard of about a third or half of them, but they were pretty good (mostly). Chris Tomlin performed at sunset, which was amazing. Mark Schultz had a new song about war. He said the Pentagon worked with him to make a music video to send to the troops. He played with the video, and it was fantastic. VERY patriotic. Smitty introduced some new songs for the world, as did a couple others. It was just outstanding. Words cannot describe. Or, rather, there are too many words to describe.
Supposedly, there were about 200,000 people there! That's amazing. They had to cut the fireworks short because the wind was blowing the debris into the crowd. Safety first, kids! I got a CD by the Afters and Phil Wickham, which I am thoroughly enjoying. You should jump on 'em. They're really good.
I am DEFINITELY going next year. Fo sho.
