I'm here working desk. Only 35 more minutes. I can do it...I can do it...
UNT played Middle Tennessee State University tonight. I got to see the slaughter begin since the game started a little after 6:00 and I didn't have to work desk until 7:00. We ended up losing 35-0. And it was Family Weekend. That's horrible. What's wrong with us? Why can schools EITHER be good at football OR the arts? Why can't we be both?
Andy's birthday is tomorrow. He'll be 20. We made a big sign for everyone to sign, then we'll put it up on his door. Isn't it sickening that he and I will graduate at the same time? Stupid TAMS. Stupid...going to 4 schools.
So my mom like broke her foot or something. She was at a 5K run with everyone from our church. Only, she wasn't actually running. She was watching and somehow broke her foot walking around. She has like a cast and crutches and everything. It's pretty crazy.
I am NRA-certified for rifle and shotgun instruction. This is required to teach the merit badges in the Boy Scouts. My old troop is doing that this month, so I'll be going out there for 3 Mondays (they don't meet on school holidays like Columbus Day) and on a campout where we get to shoot for a weekend. I've never actually taught the class, though I have helped supervize the shooting portion. On the one hand, I'm not too worried cause I've taken the class tons of times from when I was in the Scouts. But on the other hand, I've never taught the course. Since I've been gone for so long, I don't think I've even met most of the guys in the troop these days. They'll be like "who is THIS guy?" And I'll be like "I used to be you! How exciting!" And they'll be like "dude, you're creepy." I don't want to be the creepy guy. Maybe I'll bring some dulce to give out to guys to answer questions. Yeah, that'll work. Nothin like fillin up all the little kids at night for the parents. Sucks to be them.
Ok, so I've rambled on enough for one night. I'm sure there will be more tomorrow night. (when I work desk...again)
