[16:04:44] bungee41: yes?
[16:04:46] Mom: that i wanted to tell you that i took FIVE pictures when gma and gpa were here!
[16:04:51] bungee41: hooray!!!
[16:04:52] bungee41: hahahaha
[16:05:03] bungee41: is this the first time you've actually used your camera?
[16:05:04] Mom: i just remembered when you said that
[16:05:09] Mom: yes...first time!
[16:05:12] bungee41: oh dear...

We bought my mom a digital camera and picture printer for Christmas...in 2004. When Christmas 2005 came 'round and she still hadn't opened the box, I "borrowed" the camera. By that, I mean I took it for weeks or months at a time. I always asked, of course, but some times I didn't get it back fast enough for her needs. But even when she had it, she forgot she had it. Then I got my own camera this Christmas (2006). Hers has been sitting on a shelf for 2 months.

So when I heard my grandparents were coming into town, I challenged my mom to take 5 pictures. They were here for about 8 or 9 days. That's less than 1 picture per day. Way to go mom. Way to go.

CLARIFICATION a la Mom: Well...when I got the camera we were remodling our house. it was so very torn up that i was afraid to even OPEN the camera fearing it would be damaged. Then we moved. All this took a whole year...from tearing up the house to moving. So...in my defense...I'm NOT as "cave woman-esque" as one paints the picture! And lets let bygones be bygones and focus on the future and the fact that I am now taking pictures! Woo hoo!
