Stuff and Things

Man, I love my job. It rocks. I can't wait till it goes public with all the greatness. However, I miss school. Funny thing to say, I know, but it's true. I miss having a multitude of things to do at any given time. There's always a wide variety of food at every cafeteria. There's a pool table, ping-pong table, and a TV room. There are friends and fellow staff members. There are sports, movies, cable TV, and naps. I was constantly doing things.

Now, I am in the opposite situation. It's sort of hard to adjust. I wake up, go running, go to work, come home, and sleep. It's the same every day. Well, the routine is the same. The things I do at work are completely different each day, which is nice. I love change. I like a variety of things to do. Now, I'm friendless, sportsless, gameless, and internetless. It's totally different. I go to sleep between 10 and 12 every night, when I'm used to going to sleep between 12 and 2. I wake up around 730 when I'm used to waking up at all hours of the day.

I'm going to try to hook up with a small group at church this weekend. I know some guys who play in the band for the kids with me who I think are in a group together. That'll be good. I think Nelson and the Strait twins will be at church each week with me too. The only problem is that I may be working with the kids a lot. I'm playing bass this weekend, then working sound in a week or two. We'll see.

The good thing about work is that I'm immersed in music. We're constantly looking for new sounds and styles to record, which means that I'm either listening to new music or creating my own. It's amazing. I love it. I'm so inspired to try different sounds and write more music. It's gonna be a good summer.

I miss you, friends.
