Stupididity

I've decided that people are stupid by nature. In our deepest pains, in our darkest hours, in our euphoric joys, we become stupid. When families lose a loved-one in a shooting, they scream for tighter, more restrictive gun control. When someone wins the lottery, they immediately quit their job. When soldiers die in war, mothers cry out for and end to the "terrible things" that those soldiers signed up to do.

When we have extreme emotion, it seems we revert back to a more animalistic state. Thus, we become stupid. We lose sight of logic and reason; nay, the two cease to exist. And the sad thing is that many people profit from this madness. Politicians who want to further their agenda, companies who want to sell products or services, individuals who seek celebrity status - they all work together to perpetuate this downfall of the human nature.

So I urge you to stand up and tame these animals. Speak reson to your friends and family. Help them to understand it's not the end of the world; it's not the begining of a new life. They're still living the same life that's been changed a bit. We only get one shot on this little planet of ours. Let's not look like fools while we're here.
