Home sweet home

Well, I'm back up here in Denton, typing from my dorm room. I am about to begin my 5-and-a-halfth year of college, which will complete my college career. Yes, that's right: I graduate in December. Finally!!!

Including this fall semester and my 2 summer semesters, I will have completed 148 credit hours over 13 semesters. This gives me an average of about 11.38 credit hrs per semester. That's pretty average I guess - about 12 hrs per semesters.

A BBA focused in marketing here at UNT requires 127 hrs of classes. The NPD certificate that I'm working on adds an additional 6 plus an internship (3 hrs). I have 15 hrs of classes that somehow count for credit, but don't really apply to anything. I've retaken 4 classes (12 hrs) and I have 27 hours of engineering and Bible classes that don't count toward anything. There are a couple classes that overlap university requirements vs. major requirements, so effectively I will graduate having taken 179 credit hours. This brings me to 13.77 hrs/semester. Not too bad.

However, we must also consider work. At LeTourneau, I worked part-time two semesters, full-time both summer semesters that I too classes, and I'll be working part-time this fall. Oh, and then there's the RA job I will have had for 4 semesters.

If I sound resentful or angry, I'm not. I'm just exhausted from working this week. It's been pretty hectic around here. Honors Hall hasn't opened yet, so their staff is living here in Clark. Oh right! And we all have a few residents moving in tomorrow for Eagle Camp! Super! $@!%^&*~@+&! I've had a great time in college, but I'm ready for it to end. I'm tired of the university system. I've ranted about it before, so I won't now. I'm ready to move on. Don't get me wrong - I'll miss all my friends terribly. I've developed my first true, long-lasting friendships in college. Roommates, co-workers, classmates. You know who you are, and I love you.

And so, I go to bed before the busy weekend ahead of me. For those coming up this week, I can't wait to see you! For those I've been neglecting whilst in RLT, sorry. I'll see all of you soon. Until then...
