Responsibility

OK, I need to rant. I was driving this morning and heard a report about the volatility of the stock market now-a-days. Specifically, they were talking about hedge funds. Many companies are losing a lot of money with hedge funds now because there are such large jumps in the market at the end of each day. So, they're cutting back on employees, expenses, etc. The usual.

But then the reporter started talking about how a lot of investors are getting mad at those companies for losing their money - some even demanding a refund. IT'S AN INVESTMENT!!! THERE IS RISK WITH EVERY INVESTMENT!!! YOURS WAS TOO RISKY AND YOU LOST!!! GET OVER IT!!!

I don't understand how people can be so ignorant. It's like jumping off the roof of your house. It might just be one or two stories, but if you land in a dip in the ground, you might break your ankle. Only now, the ground is quite bumpy and a lot of people are breaking their ankles. IT'S LIFE!!! MOVE ON!!!

(or stop jumping off the roof)
