Six Flags and Bird Flu

Man, Six Flags was amazing. I actually rode the roller coasters. While I was quite terrified, I did it anyway. It was loads of fun. But I'm definately NEVER going to ride the Titan or Superman rides. Nor will I ever ride the Texas Giant. That thing hurts man. Except for a girl.

So in our training today, this guy went off talking about our school's plan about what to do if we have an Avian Flu outbreak. What? Am I missing something? Why do we need a plan of attack for the Avian Flu? Is this a pressing issue? Apparantly....? They said our safe range is anywhere outside of 6 hours. I roughly estimated the distance of this to be ~1930 miles (by plane). Here's a pic of our danger zone.
