My dad is now officially a Colonel in the United States Air Force. He is one of 14 Biomedical Science Corp officers (which includes social workers) selected to be promoted to Colonel out of 57 BSC candidates. USAFR-wide, there were 343 reservists selected to be promoted from Lt. Col. to full-bird Col. out of 1989 candidates. He just had his official pin-on ceremony Friday. It's been a long and hard journey in the last few years, since he's been activated a few times, but we're all so proud of him.
