I had two intramural football games tonight - co-ed at 9:30, followed by men's at 11. Yes, that's right: 11 in the PM. I have no idea why they think we want to play so late, but apparantly we do. But anyway, we won both games. It was pretty sweet. Alls I can say: it's good to be tall. Especially when you're rushing the quarterback. And last night, my men's indoor soccer team "played a game." I say that because it was more like target practice on their goal. It was a bit sad. The final score was 21-0, and the games only last about 40 minutes. For those of you who don't play soccer, that's a lot. I mean, A LOT. The refs ended it with the "mercy rule," meaning that they stop the game in the last 3 minutes if one team is up by like 7 or something. I almost felt bad. Almost.
February 28 is International Pancake Day. Thus, IHOP, being the world's designated pancake house (it's in the name), decided to give away free shortstacks until midnight. Sweet. Free pancakes from IHOP. Can't go wrong. We just barely made it after the men's game, but we did. Because they were giving away free pancakes, there were loads of people there. We had to wait a few minutes, but since we agreed to sit anywhere, we were promptly seated in the smoking section.
We split up into two tables, as we were 9 in number. During our discussion at my table, which consisted of Anna, Jessica, and myself, we pondered the idea of a smoking section in a restaurant. Jessica put it wonderfully: "A smoking section in a restaurant is like a peeing section in a pool." Beautiful. They're not really separated. It's like roping off the peeing section of the pool and putting up a net. I thought it was awesome.
