RoW & HFoW

Sorry I didn't get this in yesterday. I was either asleep or gone almost all day. To make up for it, I'll do both...

Stealing music and movies is a huge problem here on college campuses. That's right, stealing. It's not "copying;" it's not "borrowing;" it's stealing. There are so many people who share music and rip movies. "But EVERYone does it," they say. No they don't. I don't. People who don't like being sued or arrested don't. I'm getting fed up with it. I've been trying to talk to people about it, but they just get mad at me! What?! Why are you mad at me? I didn't do anything illegal! You're stealing! "It's not stealing," they say. Yes it is! Did you pay for it? "No." Then it's stealing. "But they'll never know. They won't miss it. They're making so much money anyway." So? It's still illegal. It's the principle of the matter. Where would we be without morals and ethics? Nowhere, that's where. So stop it! Or I might!

Wednesday night, a resident of mine had some troubles, as mentioned before. I helped him through it, but didn't get to sleep until like 4:00 in the morning. But he was so appreciative and thankful that I took the time to help him the whole way through. I didn't just tell him what to do and leave. I didn't just get him started. I was with him the whole way through. It felt great when we were done and he kept thanking me and stuff. I think I really helped him out. It's nice to be able to be there for my guys.

There's a guy who lives on the next wing over who's in Microeconomics with me. He's a freshman. Since this is my 2nd time to take the class, it's super easy for me. He's never had this stuff before, so it's hard for him. Today in class, he was trying to figure out some stuff about monopolies on a worksheet, so I shared my knowledge and wisdom with him. He was really trying hard to learn the stuff, and was a bit confused at first. When I teach someone something like that, I try to get them to answer their own questions. We did this for a few questions on the WKST, and he seemed to be getting it. Slowly, but surely. On our way out of class, he thanked me for taking the time to help him, and he said it was very helpful. It's nice to know that other people know you make a difference. Usually you know, but no one tells you.

Happy Easter!
