Tonight, I played with Curtis, Ricchuiti, and Josh tonight at the Grill in a talent show thing. We only prepared 2 songs because we were last. I hate it when everyone goes long, then the last guys go even longer. It's lame. So, we wanted to ensure everyone's happiness. Unfortunately, they finished with everyone else about 45 minutes early. When we finished our 2 songs, everyone was taken aback. "You're done?" "They're only playing 2 songs?" "Play more! Play more!" they said. But we didn't have more.
It was great. Andy dropped one of his sticks, but somehow kept playing the same beat with one hand while he picked up the dropped stick with his other. Fantastic. It was an excellent first-performance for a band. I couldn't have wanted more.
We call ourselves Knight's Bridge (or Knight'sBridge or KnightsBridge or knightsbridge). This is our 3rd name, and we've only been together like 2 or 3 weeks. We started with Eternal Stairmaster, which I loved, but got shot down when we asked random people. Then we went to The Clarktomaniacs. But that's only good for people who go to UNT. We wanted something more global. Thus, Knight's Bridge.
I am also on-call tonight. There is always the possibility that an on-call will be action-packed. Mine rarely are. While we played, I got Renee to hold the pager for me. Because it would only take 30 minutes max, she was more than willing. Unfortunately, as soon as I left her with pager-in-hand, she got a call to deal with some ugly stuff. She was able to see us play, but has had to deal with the problem all night long. I feel sooooo bad. The same thing happened to her when she held the pager for like an hour or something for Marisa. I feel horrible.
Oh well. It's all out of my control. Sorry Renee. Such is life. Such is life.

umm...the dropped stick was never picked up. attempts were made, but it stayed on the ground about two inches away from the drummer's hand when in full reach(i thought about turning it into a valiant struggle by a character named David, but i'll save that one for my own blog.)
