Johnny O-face

We went to play Ultimate at 3:00 over at the PEB, like we do every Sunday afternoon. But then Johnny Oreo lost his footing. By that, I mean he fell on someone, and his ankle swelled up to the size of a baseball. Literally. Johnny uh-O!

So Ryan and I took him to the hospital, just to be safe. It turns out he broke his distal femur. Basically, that means he broke his ankle. They put a temporary splint on there to immobilize his foot, and gave him some crutches. He doesn't seem to be in much pain (whew!), and he tore his ACL a few years ago, so he knows how to use crutches. Unfortunately, he lives on the 3rd floor. Johnny-Oh well. He's a tough guy, and I'm sure he'll heal quickly. I am 100% sure that he'll take as long as the medical professionals tell him to take before getting back into sports. (ahem, Matthew...)

Get well soon Johnny Oatmeal!

wow. the irony of it all is too much. I hope JO can be out there playing sports soon too...but not too soon. This is one thing he can't just walk off or rub some dirt on.
