So Ryan and I took him to the hospital, just to be safe. It turns out he broke his distal femur. Basically, that means he broke his ankle. They put a temporary splint on there to immobilize his foot, and gave him some crutches. He doesn't seem to be in much pain (whew!), and he tore his ACL a few years ago, so he knows how to use crutches. Unfortunately, he lives on the 3rd floor. Johnny-Oh well. He's a tough guy, and I'm sure he'll heal quickly. I am 100% sure that he'll take as long as the medical professionals tell him to take before getting back into sports. (ahem, Matthew...)
Get well soon Johnny Oatmeal!
