Last night, I saw a show on the Military Channel about the unknown stories of special forces. The particular episode told of a British SAS unit in Desert Storm, winter of 1991. They ended up within 200 yards of an Iraqi platoon with AA guns. A boy hearding sheep saw the unit and ran to the Iraqis. The SAS unit ran 180 miles to Syria in only 7 days to escape. 3 were either KIA or died of the cold nights. 2 escaped with no problems. 3 were captured, interrogated, tortured, and later released.
It looked like the show was originally aired in the early or mid 90s.
This morning, after checking the weather on TV, I noticed that JAG was on. I hadn't seen it in ages, so I flipped to it to watch briefly. Guess what the story line was. A US special forces unit was in Iraq, winter of 1991. They ended up within 200 yards of an Iraqi platoon with AA guns. A boy hearding sheep saw the unit....
What are the odds of that?
