It suddenly occurred to me today that I have become a bit of a Northerner. By that, all I mean is that I have adjusted to cold weather. This is significant for two reasons: 1) I am from Texas. 2) I am rather skinny.
After doing almost everything outside for the last 6 weeks (in Virginia, during one of the coldest winters in memory, I'm told), it is clear why I have adjusted to the cold. Marching from place to place; exercises and runs; hikes; standing, waiting in formation. At one point I actually thought I had a tiny bit of frostbite on my two index fingers (I didn't).
Take today for instance. It was rainy and foggy - about 36 degrees. All I had to keep me warm was a sweat shirt. It felt nice. I am afraid I will lose this tolerance to cold over the summer, but it'll be nice while it lasts.

I totally know what you mean. I get excited when it's in the 40s because I don't need all my layers. Sadly, I will have to be used to the cold for a while longer...and we don't get any snow out of it. :-) Glad you're having fun! Say hi to chicagoooo! for me.
Yet another point why you should move to Colorado.... Just sayin'.
