I have a degree in Marketing with a certificate in New Product Development. I worked for a start-up website for about a year-and-a-half (JamStudio.com), which was awesome. I think I really like start-ups. I also like advertising, though I have no experience in that area. I don't so much like sales, but I suppose I'd be foolish not to consider it.
I was a computer programmer/database administrator/application developer for a few years. I set up a SQL Server, created and developed one application, and developed and programmed another to talk to the SQL Server and graphically display information.
I've already applied to a couple of universities for various jobs, but I'd like to either work in the advertising/marketing department or the housing departments. I like college kids, so it would be neat to work at a university where I can interact with them and/or do things for them. I was an RA for 2 years, which is where I first "got the bug" as they say. It was fun. I just don't want to have to live with college kids any more. That means I will not be a hall director or anything like that.
I've also discovered I have a passion for church. Playing guitar, running sound, working with kids, etc. There are a number of things I like to do for the church, but just the idea of working for a church has excited me recently.
My dream is to be a military fighter pilot. As I am not yet a military fighter pilot, it would be neat to be able to work somewhere where I can get some experience that will help me later. Like being a plane mechanic, where I can learn about the aircraft systems. Or working for an airline company like Southwest, where I can learn about the industry if I want to do that after retiring from the military. Of course, I have no knowledge whatsoever in any area relating to aviation other than some basic flight principles my dad has taught me over the years. But to at least get into the industry would be neat.

Aside from those more targeted fields, I like doing things that are different. Like working at the website recently. I got to play music, edit all the little sounds, try to get the word out on the web, and make a couple of how-to videos for YouTube. Not many people can say they've done something like that. Also, My work varied from day-to-day, and I was doing something that made a difference in people's lives.
I've always avoided retail or fast-food or something like that. You know, things that are considered typical teenager jobs or typical college jobs. I just never had the desire to "just have a job". I always wanted a "real job". I have so far, and I'd like to continue if possible.
So, for those who have asked, I hope this is a good idea of what I can do and what I want to do. If you know of anything I'd appreciate the heads up. All ideas are welcome. In the mean time, I'll keep searching on my own. Thanks!
