My mom bought a couple copies of Strengths Finder 2.0 the other day for my dad and me to take the test. You see, each book has a unique code that you need to log on and take the test. The test asks you about 30 minutes-worth of questions, similar to a personality test, but it tells you your top five strengths. I just took it, and here are my results with a brief description of each. The actual test gives you a whole paragraph, but I won't go into such detail now.
Responsibility
People who are especially talented in the Responsibility theme take psychological ownership of what they say they will do. They are committed to stable values such as honesty and loyalty.
Relator
People who are especially talented in the Relator theme enjoy close relationships with others. They find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal.
Belief
People who are especially talented in the Belief theme have certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their life.
Analytical
People who are especially talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.
Strategic
People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
So what do you think? Do you agree with that brief synopsis of my life? If you get a chance to take the test yourself, I'd be interested to see what your top five strengths are.

I took Strengths Quest last year for my job and my top 5 were Relator, Achiever, Learner, Context and Intellection. I agreed with them fully. It was 100% me. Now it has been a year, I have been through a lot of changes and I would like to take it again to see if anything has shifted or dropped completely and been replaced with a new strength. I liked the test because it helped me focus more on what I was good at rather than what I wasn't good at. Because I felt like I knew myself better, I felt more efficient and accomplished when I understood why I I did the things I did, acted a certain way, etc. :)
that's a great perspective: focusing on what you're good at rather than what you're bad at. i bet everything's way better now!
