Hump Day

So today's Wednesday. Hump day. The middle of the week. It's also the 1st day of February. That means tomorrow is Groundhog Day. This consists of a little groundhog coming up out of his hole in the ground to look for his shadow. If Phil (that's his name) sees his shadow, there will be 6 more weeks of winter; if he doesn't, we'll have an early spring. So basically, the seasons are determined by the number of clouds in the sky on February 2nd, and whether or not a groundhog named Phil has eyes. Random. But OK, whatever.

I'm working desk tonight. A lot. Midnight Mike isn't coming in until 1:00am, so I'm covering the extra hour in addition to my regular 7 to midnight shift. But it's OK, I have things to do. If you've never tried it before, Sudoku is extremely addicting.

In other news, I've come accross some interesting videos in the last few days. WARNING: THESE VIDEOS MAY HAVE SOME LANGUAGE AND VIOLENCE IN THEM. It's a bit old, but if you've never seen it, The End of the World is pretty funny. Earlier, I saw The Ultimate Showdown. Then there's Charlie the Unicorn, courtesy of Greta in our 1-on-1 last week. And Marisa's...and Andy's...

It's really cool being part of the Clark Hall staff. We're like a family. Like if a staff member walks by the desk, they always ask the person working desk if they need anything. Jonny-O was going to Applebee's with a bunch of people and offered to get me something. I didn't have any cash, but he said he'd cover me for a bit. It's so easy to do things, too. Like if you're doing a program, there's usually at least a couple other staff members that will help setup/clean up/etc. even if you didn't ask. What a cool place to work.

Carl got a dog over the weekend. That's cool. He pretty much just sits around and sleeps, as far as I can tell. (the dog, not Carl) His name is Dino, and he's a dachshund.

Plans are being developed for Spring Break. All I can say is: Grand Canyon. Sweet.

bungee out.
